FEW Alliances

Financial Planning Association of Australia

The Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA) and Financial Executive Women (FEW) have announced an alliance to advance the progression of women in financial planning.

Our aim is to increase engagement, awareness and pathways for women in financial planning and provide you with the necessary support for your career.

We are here to encourage our member base to be the best you can be. By coming together we will nurture and grow our profession by supporting those who commit to high professional standards, education and ethics. We want to attract women who share the same values.

Big dreams, big goals: what does it take to succeed at the highest level?

Sporting super stars, 2019 World Cup competitors and GIANTS netball team mates, Caitlin Bassett and Jo Harten join forces to headline at the FPA 2019 Women in Wealth event series, supported by Platinum Asset Management.

The FPA Women in Wealth events provide a powerful platform for networking and exploring mentorship opportunities as you engage in a lively and inspirational conversation.  Everyone is welcome to attend!  We encourage you to invite your colleagues and host your clients at this networking event.

FEW will be hosting a Circle Session for all attendees of the Women in Wealth sessions after the lunch from 2pm - 3pm. FEW’s Circle events are an opportunity to discuss topical issues with your peers.  Places are limited.

Perceptive Interviewing Workshop with Elly Johnson

FEW has partnered with Elly Johnson to provide a one of a kind workshop on Perceptive Interviewing to 20 of it's members.

Elly Johnson, master of identifying the truth and one of our UNSTOPPABLE Conference keynote speakers will be hosting a 1.5 hour workshop where she will be teaching the confidence to obtain truthful and useful information in interviews.

Hidden truth, twisted truth and misleading information can lead you down a path that can result in hiring the wrong person, making the wrong investment, drawing the wrong conclusions, trusting the wrong person or believing something that simply isn't true. These risks can cost you time, money or heartache and directly affect your business, your brand or your reputation.

Everyone in business who is tasked with the responsibility of conducting interviews, regardless of how often, must be equipped with the ability to obtain truthful and useful information. Elly will be expanding your skills and boosting your awareness to the following in this session:

  • Influence the way someone thinks to encourage them to be more truthful
  • Make it harder for someone to lie and easier for you to spot if they do
  • Become more attentive and perceptive using a multi-channel behavioral approach
